Through The Gospel

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.

Ephesians 3:6

‘Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.’  As a believing people, we are utterly reliant upon the word of God both written and Living.  God has magnified His word above all His Holy Name.  Therefore, if we are to become ‘fellowheirs, of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ,’ it must be ‘through the Gospel.’  All the word of God, both the Old and New Testaments, exists with the express purpose and design to bring us to Christ.  God has given us the written word in the Old Testament from which Christ, the Living Word, preached the Gospel.  God has given us the four evangelists of the New Testament, who have preached the Gospel to us emphasizing various themes which relate to Christ as King, Servant, Son of man, and Son of God.  God has given us the balance of the New Testament out of which the Gospel message shines with ray after ray of revelations of Christ.  ‘In Christ through the gospel,’ we come into the fullness of understanding of our unity, equality, and inheritance.  The more we understand the gospel, the better we understand Christ, and the more we comprehend who we are and what we have in Him.

Our Glorious Living Christ,
we rejoice in the Gospel which declares You
to be King, God and Savior.
We praise You that as the Gospel goes forth,
the Holy Spirit will take it up
and use it to draw souls unto You.
