All Things

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:31-32
If God has done what is greater, He will do what is lesser. Paul has articulated the order of salvation. This ends in glory. It means that He, being the author and finisher of our faith will infallibly complete redemption to its final conclusion. It means that all He has given to Christ will come to Him. It means they will receive the grace of God. Thus, God having done all that is necessary to redeem us from damnation, will bestow upon us all that comes with that. This includes but is not limited to, acceptance with Him, membership in His family, a dwelling place in heaven, eternity with Christ, an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and the final defeat of all His enemies who are also ours. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it points us in the right direction. God will withhold nothing that is good for us. Therefore, we are secure beyond what anyone can do to us. At worst, they may persecute and afflict us for a time, however, they can do no more than that. They may go so far as to heap accusations upon our heads, trumped up by their hateful imaginations. Those are caviling objections for evil purposes. God justifies us for Jesus’ sake. We are His Body and He is our head. Therefore, what God has for Him, He has for us.
Our Gracious, Sovereign God,
we rejoice that nothing falls outside Your providential plan.
We praise You that You will give
all that is good for us.
