Forever

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  

Hebrews 13:8 

Jesus never changes and that will always be. Because He is Jehovah, He has been immutable from of old; is changeless now; and shall be for all eternity. In the midst of a rapidly changing world, we desire what is constant and secure. Christ provides that for us. All others and all else may change, but He is the same forever.  If it were not so, He would have told us. That Christ will be the same forever, gives us tremendous hope and confidence for the future. This is why we may observe the events occurring in our world without fear. Leaders in the world will rise and fall. There will be success and failure, war and peace, prosperity and poverty, but Jesus will remain the same. We may look in faith to the eternity He has promised to His redeemed and be certain that it is as sure as He is because it is complete in Him. We live in a changing world but we have an indissoluble union with the changeless Christ.  

Our Gracious God and our Savior, 
we rejoice that You remain the same. 
We praise You that You are our anchor, 
now and forever.
