All The Nations

When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
Matthew 25:31-32
Who will appear at the Last Judgment of Christ? Christ made a simple sweeping statement, ‘All the nations will be gathered before Him.’ John is more specific, ‘And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened, And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.’ Paul is just as clear when he says, ‘For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.’ This is an appointment we will all keep. Christ is the Judge of all the earth. If He says He will sit upon the throne of His glory to judge the living and the dead, we can be sure each of us will make a personal appearance on that day. What is the primary underlying action which we must consider? Christ said it when He was in controversy with the Jewish religionists. His categorical statement was, ‘Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.’ Thus, before we speak of any other words or deeds by which He will judge, we must speak of this matter of faith in Christ. All other deeds are the outgrowth of the acceptance or rejection of Christ. We behave on the foundation of what we believe. When Christ sits upon the throne of His glory all of us will give account of our words and deeds, the foundation of which is our acceptance or rejection of the Judge Himself.
Our Great God and our Savior,
we rejoice that You have shown Yourself to us.
We praise You that You are
our Prophet, our Priest and our King.
