No Longer An Offering

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them, then He adds, Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
Hebrews 10:16-18
When God forgives sin, He forgives it forever. When He made Christ to be sin for us, He received from Him the full payment for all the sins of all the redeemed for all time and for all eternity. This sacrifice supersedes all previous sacrifices, and removes the necessity for any more. This is the best sacrifice which God saved for last. It is the final sacrifice. Therefore, we do not sacrifice in any sense whatsoever. We look to the once-for-all sacrifice of Christ as being all that was necessary for God to forgive our sins. This is liberating in a way that nothing else could be. The Son has made us free and we are free indeed. We are no longer the subjects of Satan or the servants of sin. Christ has liberated us from the penalty, and power of sin. He will eventually free us from the presence of sin. Because His sacrifice has guaranteed remission of our sins, we do not fear to approach the Throne of Grace. We come boldly before the Throne because Christ has done all that is necessary to guarantee our reception there.
Our Great God and our Savior,
we rejoice at the power of Your Sacrifice.
We praise You that we need no other.
