‘Satisfied’

‘Satisfied’

‘Satisfied’

He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.

Isaiah 53:11

Christ is the Living Embodiment of the Eternal God. He has been integrally involved in every Plan and Purpose of God from all eternity. Because that is so, He has always been aware of the end result of each Plan and Purpose without exception. He has practically effected the carrying out of all those Plans and Purposes, and shall continue, until they arrive at their Divinely Appointed conclusion. Because Christ has all the Attributes of Divinity, He therefore ‘sees’ the end result of all these Plans and Purposes with the Eye of Omniscience. This brings us to our text for today. We are dwelling today upon the word, ‘satisfied.’ Christ will infallibly succeed in everything in which He engages. He is fully aware that He will succeed, therefore, our text ends with the conclusion that He will be ‘satisfied.’ Because this passage dwells upon His Atoning Sacrifice, it has regard to His successful Redemption of His people. Here is what satisfies Christ: there shall not be one soul for whom Christ died who shall ever be in hell. He will build His Church, stone by stone, and every pebble He will unerringly place in its’ Divinely-Ordained location. In this He is totally ‘satisfied.’ Here is our encouragement in evangelism. He has made us the proclaimers of His Gospel, and He has guaranteed its success.  With the end result of every project which He has undertaken, Christ shall be ‘satisfied.’

Our Glorious Living Christ,
we rejoice in Your Wondrous Redemptive Work.
We praise You that You will bring it to a successful conclusion
in every way, and that every person for whom You died
shall take their place in the Church which You are building.
