The Justification of Many

He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.

Isaiah 53:11

Justification is at the heart of the Gospel. ‘Justification is an act of God’s free grace, wherein he pardoneth all our sins, and accepteth us as righteous in His sight, only for the righteousness of Christ imputed to us, and received by faith alone.’ The Redemptive work of Christ, at the heart of which was His Substitutionary Sacrifice upon the Cross, makes justification a reality. Here is the answer to the ancient question posed by Job, ‘How can a man be just with God?’ Isaiah, the ‘Evangelical Prophet’ declares in clear terms that Christ, the ‘Righteous Servant’ of Jehovah would, by His Atoning Crosswork, ‘justify many.’ This is the most excellent news that we, who are sinners by nature and by choice, could possibly receive. ‘My sin, Oh the bliss of this glorious thought, my sin, not in part, but the whole, is nailed to His Cross, and I bear it no more. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul.’ God imputes our sin to Christ, and Christ’s Righteousness to us. Therefore, in the Eyes of God’s Law, we are as righteous as Christ Himself. The clear understanding of this is astronomically liberating to the soul. Here is the core doctrine that has fired spiritual revival and the recovery of ancient, long hidden Truth. Here is the Truth that makes us ‘free indeed.’ Today, are you of the ‘many’ whom Jesus justifies? Embrace Him as the Gospel freely offers HIm. Know the joy of justification before you rest your head tonight. Here is our Gospel invitation.  Here is free Grace set before You.  Come and dine.

Our most Holy and Righteous God,
we praise You that Christ Your Righteous Servant
does indeed justify many.
We rejoice that we may be in that number,
wholly by the Grace of God.
