Faith Rewarded

And He said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction. 

Mark 5:34 

Christ rewards faith. The woman with the issue of blood had suffered with her affliction for twelve years. Mark relates she, ‘had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.’ All she wanted was healing and all she sought was to touch the hem of Christ’s garment. She crept close to Him in the crowd, touched the hem, and felt the healing immediately. Christ stopped the procession, called her forth, and commended her faith. His final remark was, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.’ He both commended and rewarded her faith. She desired healing, had faith that Christ could heal her, acted on that faith and received her heart’s desire. Christ has rewarded faith for centuries. Read the histories of the heroes of the faith, see how Christ rewarded them and is yet rewarding them. We believe and have faith in Christ. If He has rewarded their faith, He will reward ours. He is the ever faithful, never-failing God.  

Our Great God and our Savior, 
we rejoice that You reward faith. 
We praise You that You have given us  
the faith that You reward.
