Satisfied

He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.
Isaiah 53:11
Successful labor brings satisfaction. Christ’s life-labor was successful in fulfilling all the demands of God’s law in precept. His death-labor was successful in fulfilling the law of God in penalty. He successfully purchased redemption for all whom the Father had given Him. They are that ‘great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues.’ This is the multitude which John depicts in Revelation who are praising Christ for what He accomplished on their behalf. Their presence in the scene of glory, gathered around the Throne is the evidence that Christ has succeeded in the labor of His soul. Christ sees it and is satisfied. All the ransomed people of God shall be saved to sin no more. Christ will not lose one soul for whom He died. He is drawing His people unto Himself by the effectual call of His Spirit until He gathers all of them together. In all things He will have first place. This gives us great encouragement to proclaim Christ. He is doing His work and has given us the opportunity to preach Christ everywhere. Believe on Him and you shall be saved.
Our Gracious God and our Savior,
we rejoice at all You have accomplished.
We praise You that having begun Your work,
You will continue it until You have finished every detail.
